Black History Program was a Smashing Success!

Last week’s Black History Program was a hit with students, staff and parents.  The program featured K-8 students in a historical timeline of notable African-American figures.  The timeline started in the 1900s with, among others, Mary McLeod Bethune and went all the way to the present with such figures as Barack Obama and Colin Powell.  The program also featured musical acts from each era, like Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, Ike and Tina, the Jackson 5, and Beyonce’.
